Unbelievable

After a day which I couldn\'t find my butt with either hand. I was going to post the only thing going on stupider than my win ticket construction was the time between races 12 & 13 @ Pimlico.

Then race #10 @ Belmont. I chose the #3 mostly because I didn\'t think #9 s/b 9/5 off the layoff. So my #3, a need to lead type, broke well but couldn\'t get the lead. I\'m beat (again) I thought. My pick drifted back to 3rd and was joined by someone while the two leaders (#9 +?) appeared to take over the race.

But #3 quit losing ground? Dazed I watched the horse begin to reel in the leaders and suddenly with new energy a second wind I rolled by on the outside as the #1 did on the inside.

A mad splash to the wire resulted in a photo which I won by about 1/2 an inch avoiding a shutout by scoring in the bottom of the 10th with a trip that just didn\'t figure.

Tough beat for those who backed the #1.

More unbelievable:  Good Magic is 9-2.  Don\'t know who\'s going to win but that\'s the value.

Imagine how much money came in on Good Magic to go from 9-2 to 7-2 on the last flash.

. . . on a day when Ortiz was essentially on a fill-or-kill (as they say on Wall Street) mission.   Not so pretty, if you were aware of that, going in.
