Interviewed by the Mig earlier in the week, Linda Sunglasses pointed out that
La Verdad would have to pay a large entry fee to run in the BC FM Sprint.
Linda also expressed concerns about running LV at 7/8ths of a mile; she did
not mention running her against the boys in the BC Sprint which is at a
distance more suited to her. Trainer knows best; I would be surprised if LV
appears in Lexington next week, and if she does it is because ownership wanted
to go; I\'m fairly certain the trainer wants to stay home.

Speaking of the Sprint, can we talk? Lets all get our pitchers of Kool Aid out
here, because while all the talk on the board is about the slow breaking
Runhappy, on the TGs Salutatos is much faster than either of the main
contenders and will be what? 3 times the price?

On the positive side, Salutatos probably beats Rock Fall in the True North if
not for a troubled break under NYRA\'s coldest jockey.

The biggest negative is that DJake shipping to run in the BC is not the same as
DJake shipping to Parx or Mth to run in an ungraded stake.

Let me repeat my BC Sprint pace hallucination: PZ is faster than Runhappy out
of the gate (note that RH has broken last in his last two races). Runhappy
rushes up to engage PZ, who does not like to be passed; as the much missed Tom
Durkin used to say, PZ is \"resolute\". Between the 5/8 pole and the 1/8 pole
PZ and RH are \"stirrup to stirrup, side by side\" (a tip of the Richiebee cap
if you can identify that lyric without resorting to the Internet) in an
insanely fast half mile match race which sets up a deep and possibly chaotic closer.

OK so I was unfamiliar with Mojave Music Radio and The Lost Weekend Western Swing Band. Had to look it up while suspecting an obscure Grateful Dead verse. Yet your point is wonderfully made as those two destined to hook up.

La Verdad, i.e, \"The Truth\" voids any more speculation as connections do what makes sense for a change. Curiously, a horse more convincing than most as a confirmed front runner uses off the pace tactics, reminding me as others have pointed out just because a horse leads routinely doesn\'t mean it has to. Now if Ellis follows suit and Masochistic stays away voila.

In addition to Jacobson travel ?\'s. Saludos Amigos typically pisses away a couple of points in ground most races. SA isn\'t under the radar so I\'m expecting his price to be not so so inflated. Yet as you surmise @ 12/1 or thereabouts I will bet him. It may not be as automatic an exacta as with Rock Fall r.i.p. (I recall he won you some dinero in Aug on a one play day)

As TGJB has asserted and no one is arguing post position with be paramount.

The only western swing band on my listening devices is Asleep at the Wheel, whose
recent collaboration with Willie Nelson was very enjoyable.

Asleep at the Wheel performs a rendition of \"Take Me Back to Tulsa\" with such
enthusiasm that I must surmise that they have not spent much time in that God forsaken outpost.

Don\'t know where your musical meanderings brought you, but \"Stirrup to stirrup,
side by side\" comes from the bluegrass/country standard \"Tennessee Stud.\"

Watched some of today\'s proceedings without wagering, was nice to see Linda
Rice\'s classy NY Breds take the measure of some outclassed foes; Palace to make
one more start before heading to stud, not bad for a 20K claim.

Apparently, the Truth is that LV\'s owners will pay nominating fees and run in the FM Sprint.

Jockey Irad Ortiz said LV broke poorly in her Iroquois victory on Saturday; trainer Linda Rice says LV was taken back intentionally as an experiment.

Earlier in the week Rice noted her reluctance to run in this spot.

LV is scheduled to be auctioned at Kee in November and has never won a Gr 1.

Whether she ran this past Saturday or not, I did not think LV was a BC factor, but I thought it would be responsible to stand corrected and update the thread.

The only positive I see here is some national exposure for Ms. Rice, an outstanding trainer who is in the shadow of TAP, KMac and Chad.

Also a big PR move by Lady Shelia Managing partner Shelia Rosenblum who spearheads women only partnerships with Linda Rice.Already splashed at the sales signing big tickets for a few babies.

La Verdad at 7f with quick turnaround, tough spot.

Ms Rice very underrated trainer imo.
