Beyer of 92 with some ground loss/weight spot puts this one in the TG 2.5 range, moving forward for dangerous Baffert. Moderate pace may have caused the race to be a bit on the slower side.
Bears watching, big/strong looking grinder appears to want more ground.

A Pennsylvania bred??? Mike first Donald Trump now a PA bred, how much can the blue bloods take in one year?
He made a nice run spotting 5 lbs to Uncle Lino and running right by him. Sherlock in an interview a couple weeks ago is very high on Lino, also said he would not be cranked up for yesterdays Lewis.
Good luck,
Frank D.

Hi Frank,
Yea,$650k for a PA bred.Sunk in years ago that a fast horse can be nickle bred, trained/ridden by anyone.Baffert not drilling Mor Spirit in am per by design. Big horses tougher to keep sound so guess he\'s trying to get this one to the derby in one piece.
Derby heats up big over the next 4-8 weeks.

pedigree - good blend of speed & class on the dam side (3rd dam the 2nd dam of Stellar Wind). with that stride I wouldn\'t hold the Dixie Union against him. a touch short below while young sire Esky might be worth something on the board with his early crops, but I can\'t imagine there\'s a lot of value for or against when it comes to breeding.
12.17 final 1/8 yesterday so he likely could have gone faster, but the 5.5 at CD and the 3 with the \'bi\' in his other two races beyond 1M don\'t suggest this was a negative 1 horse throttled down to a 2.5. pattern looks good, but Baffert has work to do.
very solid colt at very low odds.

I though he was trying to get in a little. Stevens seemed to have him in a measured move being careful to keep his head steered right. Not the usual blistering set of works for this one either. Could this be another Bodemeister or Dortmund. Good enough to win the Derby if they can get him there....

Many so called State Breds are out of Kentucky stallions but foaled in another State to make them eligible for big purses in the State bred programs.

When asked what might be next for Mor Spirit, Baffert replied, \"I don\'t know. We know he\'ll go on a plane to go somewhere, but right now, I\'ll just go by how he\'s doing. It\'s just too far ahead.\"

I don\'t understand he wants to leave town?

He likes to take them to Oaklawn Park, safe surface and similar to Churchill Downs. OP has proven to be a great launchpad for 3 yr olds more than a decade.
Possible next start:
Saturday, March 19 - $900,000 Rebel (G2) - 3-year-olds, 1 1/16 miles

BB mentioned this one and Collected last Thursday in a chat with Francesa on WFAN as ones to keep an eye on.
On Mor Spirit:
\"He looks like a really good one. He looks like he can get the distance.\"
On Collected:
\"I don\'t know how far he\'s gonna go, but...he\'s gonna be running in the Southwest Stakes next week in Arkansas at Oaklawn.\"
