Yushun Himba (Japanese Oaks) (Grade I)
« on: May 21, 2017, 02:45:50 AM »
While the Preakness winners slept off their celebrations, on the other side of the world horse racing flourishes. Roughly forty (40) individuals (not counting babies) were in the winners circle for the Yushun Himb Stakes victory celebration.

Approximately a $2M Dollar purse at one and one half miles on the turf for 3 y/o fillies carrying 121 lbs. Soul Stirring Dk B/ Br.f.3 Frankel (GB) - Stacelita (FR) wins her 5th race in six tries.

Sure she\'s a slow Japanese bred slug but has now won just shy of $3M. A beautiful filly who re-rallied late to grab victory from the jaws of defeat.

I\'m still puzzling over the notion that seventeen professional jockeys didn\'t know the inside track at the Kentucky Derby was such an advantage.
