He will be retiring in the middle of February.  The race caller from Suffolk will become Durkin\'s backup.

Thanks. I worked with John for 5 years. Good guy. Timing seems perfect given the circumstances. Larry is a good guy as well and the logical choice. Best of luck Larry.

Crist only spends money on gambling and cigarettes.

Sorry to see John go. Good guy and very knowledgeable which is extremely rare when it comes to racing on television.

Really liked John after he got more air time when Harvey Pack left.  Also considered some of his long shot selections in the NYRA preview show.  About Jan, I remember her from Jerry\'s old \"Post Time\" show.  She is terrific with a script but when she adlibs I like her hats.
