No offence intended as I think you are one of the sharpest posters on the site but the players are still getting back around 85 cents on the dollar. Sarcasm aside, I know of several serious players that are having exceptional results on the synthetic surfaces. Especially the Keeneland meet.

Of course the return is always the same (75-85%) of what is wagered.The problem with constant chaos is that the money is not flowing back to the 38% of the bettors that wager app 68% of the money. So if the 38% bettor population gets substantially hurt, it follows that eventually the pools get smaller. Natch this will take a long time and I would imagine they will get the surface more consistent with tweaking.


The flaw in this whole poly-mania thing is that they rushed into it before perfecting it and they never gave a second thought as to how it might affect their biggest customers.Racetrack managers are the poorest managers I have ever come across in my business life on many levels.Having said that,only GP showed negative growth figs but there were reasons.An NTRA industry observer attributes high employment and generally good wages for the overall growth.It appears that some of the discretionary money is ending up in the windows.Stay lucky!

Constant chaos? I don\'t see it. Handicapping the polycushionwhatever is no different than handicapping the many other surfaces in racing. I don\'t know where you get your numbers and it doesn\'t matter, but why would it hinder the 38% that bet the 68% and help the 62% that bet the 32%?

And if the average field size is higher as a result of polycushionwhatever I think pools will increase rather than shrink.

I don\'t know one serious racetrack gambler, owner, trainer, jockey who thinks\"handicapping polycushion is no different from handicapping any other surface\".If you beating poly/cushion, keep it up, you are a minority.
