Johnny Murtagh butchered his share. He was dreadful most of the weekend

He made one mistake, in that he didn\'t recognize the dead rail and put the horse there.

There was no way for Gomez to anticipate that the a top contender and the 2nd choice in the race, Casino Drive, would backup in his face like the horse had been shot.  Something went amiss with CD and there was no place for GG to go.  By the time he had clearance the race was over.

The definition of a \"good ride\" on the polycrap over this weekend was different.

The Mike Smith, sweep 6 or 8 wide around all the horses and lose tremendous ground, was a GREAT WIDE this weekend.

Saving ground on the rail didn\'t work at all.

The way I saw it he had a perfect stalking position along the backstretch and got boxed in by the rush of horses heading into the far turn. Had he taken the 3 path he\'d have had clear sailing.

Perfect track profile description for both days. Horses that were in \"the\" paths, both days, i.e.wide, will be REWARDED in their figs.This is why the mannner in which figs are earned are eqully important as the figs themselves.

TAP crew ill that Munnings drew inside and was planning to \"send\" but changed when the obvious dead rail/closers bias appeared worse than Fridays.Munnings had no horse at any point in spite of a good trip.

Gomez felt worse than anybody after the race. As he said the horse was there for him. I had Go Between and the trip just did not work out. If there is any second guessing from me is why was he so close in the first place. This horse finishes strongly from off the pace and that was the best approach to be taking.

Why if the team is running a rabbit are you two lengths off and overtaking him before you hit the far turn is beyond me. The 11 who was tracking all of them got caught up in the whole mess and just got out finished by Conduit.

I was five deep with in the Turf/Classic doubles with the 1, the three Euros and SC. So the fallout from the pace mess in the Turf cost me a couple of dimes.

Also very bizarre that CC Odonoghue, aboard the \"rabbit\"
was still throwing the reins at his mount even as his
stablemate was drawing alongside. At that point the
rabbit rider is supposed to back up and figure out
how to create as much chaos as possible during the
retreat.

Miff-- if it turns out that the rail was dead (and it certainly looked it), I won\'t be using inside horses to make figures, they\'ll get X\'s. Outside horses won\'t get extra credit. Also, most were not that wide on most of the turn, swinging out leaving it.

I thought the pace in the Turf and Syn Mile were way to fast. To see those jocks pushing made no sense. When you are on the heels of a rabbit you are going to fast.

But the worst for me was the Turf Sprint. Shaun rode that downhill all wrong and still got third. Should have known to stay away from someone not familiar with that course.

You may want to watch the replays, if you have not already or wait for your trackmens report. Over the two days, there were more than a few winners who were 4-5 paths wide most,if not all, of the turn.Talking about the entire cards both days, pro ride races only,of course.

Preliminary Beyers do not indicate many really big figs by their methodology.

You guys still using the tired old Mike Smith analogy??

That was some ridiculous wide trip he gave Becrux Friday afternoon. How that horse overcame that poor ride, the one where Smith saved ground and came up inside of horses to win I\'ll never know.  Makes you wonder why he didn\'t run in a BC race.

Soldier of fortune moved early because his rabbit came off the rail. As a euro, when a horse sees daylight, they go for it. The rabbit didn\'t have enough run to keep up and moved off the rail so he wouldnt box his stablemate inside. If the rabbit had more run than the soldier would have stayed right there.

Interestingly enough, the rabbit finished 6th, he beat 3 runners to the wire yet he was \'done\' with over a half mile remaining.
