Actually, the Cigar is going to be very strong, whether QR goes or not. Much tougher field at half the size.

Over/under should be around 28.

Those comments may have been more from my heart than my head as we are running a horse in the Remsen and so I am hoping for a field size of about 3 in that one

hey Jim, I just read the DRF blurb about Citrus Kid. don\'t know much about the broodmare sire, but he\'s a half to the great Hidden Lake, with ties to the Big Brown family. interesting pedigree. good luck.

Mike, thanks so much for the thoughts on Citrus Kid.

Clearly, Homeboykris and the Levine horse are faster but our guy really does want to run all day, I know every trainer and owner says that but I have watched him train alot and while he doesn\'t have a huge turn of foot, the riders can never pull him up in the mornings. He hasn\'t taken a deep breath after his last several works so he is unusually long winded for this stage of this career, especially considering that he\'s a MAy foal. That\'s why we wanted to try the extra 1/16th of a mile in this race against horses that have never gone 2 turns, even though at least 2 of them are clearly faster.  Will be interesting.

He has a good TG pattern and he wants every bit of te distance so we\'ll take a shot and see what happens.

In terms of the Clark, is it smart of me to think of the Meadowlands Cup as a key race and use Etched and Kiss the Kid along with Blame and try to get the value in the race by throwing out Macho and Einstein who are likely to be the top 2 choices?  The rail horse also looks interesting and if I were to play a tri (which I usually don\'t), I would use him.

What do you think?

Interesting stat when Wolfson uses Valdivia. Not a huge sample, but potent.

Needs to work out a trip from the rail; well conditioned on deep Calder track. Glad to see he may finally get back to a fast track. Numbers good enough considering ground saving trip and weight. Interesting if he is anything near his morning line.

Anyone know if the Meadowlands or Monmouth taking Churchill? Freehold is not.

I\'m sticking with Giant Oak. I like the \'2\' over the surface last year and the dirt runs this year. Pedigree says this guy could keep improving. Plodding type in the big field is a major concern. Speculative, but the price will be reasonable and he drew well and gets in light.

Thanks for the info on CK. Looking forward to seeing the numbers for that one.
