That\'s one of my top considerations regarding trainers. TGJB, some of those numbers will be very, very strong.
A couple that come to mind: Gary Sherlock on the Cal circuit, Roy Lerman at TB I\'ve also had a lot of success with Monte Thomas and fillies first time up with JE Lopez.
There are guys out there who are 0-30 at 6f maiden races, but they may be 6-6 at 6.5 furlong debuts. There are lots of trainers who just win flat mile races, never win at 1 1/16 or 1 M 70 or 1 and 1/8th. Just like horses, there are trainers who are \"distance specialists.\"
In most cases, those types are very low profile. They don\'t win often or at a high percentage, but when they are ready to win, they are very high percentage.
