If I could delete the word \"silly\" from my last post I would. Excuse me.

However, I stand by my original statement of not buying into anything a trainer says to the press.

It depends what is said and who is saying it. Mott is not onre of the operators. And again, the break in the works was clearly visible.

Trainers are in a trick bag when discussing training interruptions/issues prior to big races they\'re determined to make.

If they mention them, they can be construed as making excuses before the event.   Thus, most trainers just batten down the hatches and hope for the best.

Top,

My experience is just the opposite. Before big races most trainers will say they love the way their horse is working (just what I was looking for many say) and they would not switch places with anyone.

After the race comes the excuses.Trainers have to face owners and come up with \"excuses\" especially for new rich owners who spent big money. My personal favorite is that other trainers are cheating and thats why their over matched slow slugs are getting left in the dust(sorry Nick if you read this board)

TGJB,

I have to laugh and should have done some looking at the charts before my post.
I had no idea the race was the Iselin. As much as I\'ll whine and bitch about the Saratoga cards I really have tunnel vision for the meet. I believe I\'ve only bet the Haskell card and Arlington Million stakes pick 4 outside of the Spa meet.

The bet I made and cashed $ 1,900.00 and change on was really that blind !!!

Good luck,

Frank D.

the wise guys must not be betting much as tons of folks in the press and on radio liked RD.

If they be like they talked she would have been 7/2

Mott explained she had a foot problem, leading to the gap in training.

Are you saying you have no interest in the horse itself, and prefer to focus on whats printed on a piece of paper?
