I posted about a week and a half ago bemoaning the fact that, according to the DRF, CC didn\'t have his new glue-on shoes nailed on until AFTER his December race when he popped his big jump-up number. He was getting back at the heels at Hollywood, and his farrier wanted to raise them up and lengthen his stride.
Well, today I read in the DRF that Judd Fisher, CC\'s farrier, came forward and confessed that unbeknown to his connections, he put CC into the new shoes just BEFORE that end-of-year monster forward move race. So now the facts appear to be that the START of the six-race winning streak, the big form reversal, and the quantum foward leap followed right AFTER the shoe design change. So it sounds like we could have a cause-effect thing going on with the new shoes after all. Just an update to my earlier post and some food for though.
