It\'s been a topic here and in the NY Times about the loss of contemplation and reflection. That numbers are so readily available and gospel utility.Just for fun starting with no numbers. A simple program as a Saturday racegoer might have and my best guess based on intuition. Stick with me. We my look foolish after Race 1. But David Cannizzo has an uncanny record of scoring in the first couple of races at NYRA(particularly Race !)Total investment $20. $5Win $15Place. If we don\'t cash, you\'ll never hear from me again. Winner! And with multiple variables to overcome. Straight course, no Lasix, no nasal strip, soft going, jock not as familiar as the locals. Great effort.

It just gets so discouraging. I\'ve made it a point to pass on races involving
RR, DJ, MN etc. and I was aware of JN\'s record in Florida. I trusted there was no juice in mint julips.

I will on principle(i.e.take out)ignore CD\'s November meet and look towards GP \"South\" in December. Personal experience a good opportunity to advantage 2 and 3yo\'s going short/long dirt/turf based on TDN progeny.In the meantime will be looking for horses who may relish a 2 turn 1 1/8 at Aqueduct.

Mr. Tavasco. Always love your insightful posts. I can\'t afford to be a TG man but love the game. To me Rock Fall is our preeminent sprinter today(I don\'t know what\'s going on out west). Looked like they took him back off the the pace a notch in the Vanderbilt just to see how he would react and the field was dispatched accordingly. There is no value in verticals here unless he loses.

Jerry, You will never remember this but in the early 80\'s I met you at a bar on Houston St. I was a bit of a star because I was playing trombone with Kid Creole @the Coconuts. I was babbling some crap about claimers beating allowance horses on the Aqu inner and you were very polite. I love this game dog.

#3 Was a recommended toss. My bad, but am starting to realize this horse for course thing. She felt good at SAR last year @ 3 and I should have factored that.
