Performed well off long layoff, hard effort second-time out with small decline in results, looked exhausted late, exhaustion confirmed after crossing the wire. (Straight from the horse\'s mouth.) Comes back tomorrow on short rest.

Not that it matters in a race like this where everybody can get the distance - but you don\'t think a horse by Quality Road (a winner of two Grade Ones at 1 1/8) out of an extraordinarily well-bred Bernardini mare can get 1 1/8?
