I think that you are all missing the point. There are too many tracks running too many races with too few horses. Remember sometimes less is better. What we need are races with 20 horses like you see in other countries. The only way to get this is to have less racing (even though I know that there would be much resistance to this). I just went through a five month period looking at 5 horse fields, 8 times a day at Aqueduct. This took all the excitement out of betting.
