Thanks for posting the early Derby sheets for sale.  Very interesting race. Your data will likely be invaluable. Lani is the wild card in this one...Mubtahiij last year suffered from what I thought was a very dead rail late in the Derby and still finished a respectable sixth or eighth or whatever, not that far behind the Super Horse American Pharoah. Lani started poorly in the UAE Derby this year and rallied to win against a very well regarded filly, almost Songbird type, Polar Rirver. If my research is right, Lani ran 3 seconds faster even after a poo stumbling start than Mubtahiij who had a great trip and a huge pedigree. Lani has an even better pedigree for this time not only distance but dirt as well.  Lani is my Derby pick cuz I don\'t like the domestic favorites and I like this jock also he\'s spent a lot of time in the USA out here in So Cal. Lani to win the Derby

Polar River specifically passed on the Oaks to avoid Songbird. Not sure you can compare the two.

Polar River could not warm up Songbird, let alone beat her.  As for Lani, i can only hope there are still people on the planet betting horses from Dubai in the Kentucky Derby.  And I guess there are....
