CARINA MIA – Three Chimneys Farm’s Carina Mia, 17th on the Kentucky Oaks leaderboard, galloped after the renovation break under exercise rider Penny Gardiner for trainer Bill Mott.
The filly is scheduled to work Monday morning, Mott indicated.
“We have until Tuesday to make a choice,” Mott said of whether to enter the Oaks and hope for defections, or enter Friday’s $200,000 Eight Belles (GII).

Does anyone have the jockey assignments?

I haven\'t been able to find the jockey assignments anywhere.  One site just listed the same jockeys as their last race.  They had Javier on 3 horses in the top 15.

Dorthraki is going for McPeek and I believe has the points. At this point Mott needs a lot of help.

No one should be complaining about who did or didn\'t get in. The Rules are set and owners of these horses want to run and be a part of the Big Show.

But the rules are written to support the establishment candidates - not the ones the public wants to see in there.  It\'s  yet another attempt by the powers that be to disenfranchise . . . .  wait, what are we talking about again?

Well..... Mott couldn\'t get out of Payson because of the quarantine. That ain\'t his fault.

I have a futures bet on Carina Mia, but I\'m over it.  She may not want two turns.  I do, however, wonder if Mott isn\'t kicking himself for not picking an easier spot for her prep.  Admittedly she had previously run well at Keeneland, but the Ashland came up very tough.  I had read that Mott\'s pre-quarantine plan was to start with the Honey Bee at Oaklawn.  The Fantasy was run the same weekend as the Ashland.
