WOW!!!
I have to say honestly todays card is the first time I\'ve spent any real time on this meet ever. I\'ve looked at a couple stakes and glanced at PP\'s the past couple of years. Usually I\'m toast and on a gambling sabbatical by Labor Day.
The excitement and fun of the final weekend apparently hasn\'t worn off as after one non gambling day on Tuesday I found myself playing electronic black jack last night at the Saratoga Casino for 2 hours. My fear of becoming Jimbo made me take a break and go home to cook some shrimp in olive oil & butter, fresh garlic, cajun pepper over some angel hair pasta with fresh grated parmigiano from across the pond. After a wonderful meal it was download TG\'s and DRF for some capping while watching the Baby Bombers continue to do their thing. A couple glasses of wine, 2 hours of capping, call it a night. Up this morning at 5:15 a couple more hours watching replays, checking my notes. I ran out to see a couple customers and pick up a building permit this morning (I do work occasionally) back home by noon for another 1.5 hours into this card.
After 5 plus hours and 9 races with some ideas, no great solid opinions but a fun card to fool around with tri\'s, supers and some rolling horizontals I get to the last race. Maidens, a very modestly bred field of mostly firsters going 6.5 F for 130K.
Double WOW !!!
I\'ve never seen a race card that almost every race has 2-3 15-20/1 shots that you can bet every bit as much as the 5/2 favorites. After the Best Guess/Front Row Debbie exacta in the first there is no reason in the world to bet on anything under 10/1 the rest of the day.
Good luck,
Frank D.
