Looks to be a competitive race, with the three fastest looking like they could be
effective when tested against their elders next year. Another 3YO who will
probably end up back on turf is Good Samaritan, who (MY OPINION) had everything go
his way in his dirt debut in the Jim Dandy and will (MY OPINION) end up being a
more effective turf horse.

Question re: Frostmourne-- is anyone concerned that he had 40 days between breezes
July 30 -- September 10?

Yes I think anyone should be. At the same time that was a very big figure he ran for a 3YO turf horse in July. It might have been wise to rest. Gotta believe it knocked him out a little and he needed recovery time.

Also believe because of traffic etc Yoshida ran a lot harder than that 4. If he pairs that last effort with a clean trip he wins. But why do the Ortiz brothers and Rosario prefer others? Interesting race and Ritchie is correct. Next year is strong

Who really knows what that means?  That 2 must have sucked some life out of him.

Can\'t pick between the top three.  Yoshida is slowest, but love the post, weight, and pair - so can\'t leave him out.  Since I\'ve no conviction, instead of doing the smart thing and passing, gonna play exactas with those - and with those over the longshot.  I think I at least get my money back if Small Bear comes up . . . . small.

With a ground saving trip and the 4lbs he got Yosida probably wull only be given/earned a pair. Another 4. But it was anything but a clean trip. And a very solid gutty ride by Manny Franco.

The Chad Train burned a lot of money today and did Pletcher unleash the Derby Winner too....
