When can we get rid of this guy??

He gave perhaps the all time worst race call in a big race with the Beholder/Songbird Distaff a few years ago. Then the screamer gives another awful call today.

Screaming into the mic doesn\'t inject suspense and excitement.  It just makes us aware that you have nothing to add to the race.  He screams constantly when something big happens. He screamed for Pharoah, he screamed calling every TC race this year.

The kid at GGF is better than this guy. I\'ll take Travis Stone. Wrona runs circles around this guy.

The sad part is, Collmus is better than he used to be, or am I just acclimated.

always thought that when  Durkin retired that NYRA should have hired Stauffer,there is pure excitement in his voice

I don\'t think he\'s awful (*cough* Angela Hermann *cough), but he\'s definitely nowhere Durkin level.  He\'s pretty average, but then he goes for the grand finish scream at the big moments and he just doesn\'t have the box for it at all.  They could do way better.

Angela Herman doesn\'t really count, if she is the benchmark for awful. GGF put her up there for a few months. But yeah, that was an awful idea.

He is awful when talking about this stage. Is he \"awful\" overall?? No. I\'m talking awful from a big race perspective. And he\'s brutal.

I like Stauffer a lot - except for the last ten or twenty seconds of the race, when he goes into hyperventilation  mode.

I suppose, however, that\'s a matter of personal taste.

I’ve felt sorry for Durkin...poor guys Dream was to call a Triple Crown winner and he retires 1 year early. I guarantee Durkin’s TC call would’ve blown Collmus’ out of the water.

Personally, I think Kurt Becker is the best currently. Shame we only get to hear him for less than 2 months a year.

Becker definitely has the Luke Krytbosch like delivery that I really enjoy, Luke was so frigging good and such a shame he left us so early.  Love Wrona\'s ad-libing and think Peter Berry does a very good job at Mountaineer too and is very deserving of an upgrade.

Nobody on planet Earth is more deserving of an upgrade than Peter Berry.

Also a shame that John Lies has decamped to Oklahoma.
