Never Say Die
« on: October 21, 2019, 04:45:05 PM »
The story goes that in 1954 Mona Best a Liverpool England housewife pawned her jewelry and bet the proceeds on 33/1 longshot American Bred Never Say Die in that years, Epsom Derby.  She used her winning to buy a 15 room Victorian House. Several rooms were made available to her son Pete to listen to Rock n Roll music.

Later she converted several other rooms into the Casbah Coffee Club.

That was The Beginning of The Beatles...-->

Cool story. Every now and then, I learn something on this Forum. Useless trivial information but great cocktail party small talk.
