BC Juvenile Fillies Figs

TGJB -

Paul Matties mentioned near the end of his interview on on Steve Byk\'s show today (a little after 1:45:00) how difficult the figures would be to make for the BC Juvenile Fillies and Juvenile.  I notice that, the way you\'ve done the Juvenile Fillies, no one ran within 3 points of their top.  I\'m curious what went into your decision to do it that way.

Those two races were a bitch, I\'m going to review them after several run back. There was no way to do them at even close to the same variant-- if you did, the filly race would have come up even slower. As it was I used 3 point different variants, and still ended up with the filly race collapsing. I considered a bunch of other ways to go, but in the end couldn\'t justify a bigger variant differential. If the fractions for the two races had been significantly different I might have gone otherwise.

To be clear, if the filly race was the only route on the day, I would take off 3 1/2 in a heartbeat. And there\'s some chance I eventually will. But to have the two variants 6 1/2 points different I would have to know something was done to the track.
