Del Mar Handle

The racing press headlines show that Del Mar handle was up for the meet. In fact, from what I am seeing on Twitter, handle on races run at Del Mar was down. The discrepancy arises because Del Mar includes in its handle amounts bet by California residents on out-of-state tracks, which this year included betting on the Oaks and Derby cards.

That’s interesting. We did the Thoroly program with them for the first time, and TGPS Del Mar handle was way up. Hard to make an exact comparison due to different dates, but more than double.

Check out this string for more accurate and less \"spiced up\" media \"spun\" information on the Del Mar wagering totals.
I\'ll preview my favorite line before you all look at the actual data closer.
At some point, someone sober needs to take the keys from the drunk driver driving the car off the road.
