I was at the track that day, thought about it cuz Bailey was on the horse. But no and I don\'t remember who the hell I played.

Me too but I will always remember him anytime a “hopeless” bomb wins

Collmus should have been fired a decade ago.  I realize not everyone can be Tom Durkin, but someone even like Kurt Becker does 10x the job he does.  Makes me sad that Luke Krytbosch was struck down so young, he for sure would still be doing it today and doing a fantastic job.

I watched every live CD race on my computer listening to Travis Stone, watched the replays on the big screen.

Collmus has a good voice, until he starts screaming, but his actual calls are average.

Matt Dinerman is a really good young race caller at GGF.

meanwhile us NYRA players are stuck with Johnny I. ... my dog could call a better race than that guy.

You were listening to CD race caller, Travis Stone.  Becker calls races at Keeneland.

With all the computer tech we have , couldn\'t they synthesize Fred Capossela\'s voice and have the AI call the race off the Trackus data?

Bet money it would be better than what we usually get.

Yes meant to say Travis Stone.  I saw Kurt Becker mentioned in the response and that name was stuck in my head

If that horse didn’t draw in. Did I really just read that?

There wasn’t any good info on Euro imports back then and no dirt form to boot. This horse had plenty of info and none of it was good.

I\'m young and don\'t get the first part but man is he bad. sure he is a great guy but is that really the best they can do? between him and Serling (the worst) NYRA is a cast of misfits (Love Maggie and Stabile).

I didn\'t take it that way, you were just correcting an error on my part.

Agreed!  Collmus got lucky with a cute execution of My Wife Knows Everything/My Wife Knows Nothing, made the national news, and then got primo race caller jobs that I don\'t think were warranted. No knock on Larry for taking advantage of the opportunities.  Shouting the call does not make it better.

Make it fun and get Richard Grunder out of retirement to make the derby call. Good lord would that be fun.
