What to do with STILLETO BOY?

Last year, right around this time, he backed up off the 0. Two races back he ran a new top, and bounced off that at Ellis. Does he mirror what he did last year off the top, or does he move forward off the 2.50?

I don\'t know. He looks tempting. The top may be a bad target, but he doesn\'t need it to run well/win in here, IMHO.

And do you toss Geaux Rocket Ride off a 5 point new top? Has the rail and probably needs to attend to the front to get a good trip. Complete toss?

Having a difficult time finding a win bet going off the ML.

KATONAH to win @ 12/1 and up.

Another three point move puts him right in this. ;-)

It will be interesting to see how the 3yos in here stack up versus their elders.

I\'ll take a stab with the 4yo \"Slow Down Andy.\" Back to his top in last and any forward move puts him in there tomorrow.

Good Luck,
Joe B

No value at the ML but ARABIAN NIGHT and GEAUX ROCKET RIDE are my picks. The latter could bounce off of his last but I expect ARABIAN NIGHT to go negative.

The following link lists some highlights and history of the this race.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific_Classic_Stakes

One obvious fact that stands out to me is this race is only occasionally won by a three year old and most of those were noteworthy in their celebrity.

Any of this year\'s 3 y/o\'s can still achieve celebrity but I\'m going to limit my win bet candidates to a 4 or 5 y/o. Just a statistical perspective.

3) Stiletto Boy 8/1 I don\'t care for Shackleford sire at the distance

5) Defunded 4/1 carries a Baffert discount

7) Slow Down Andy 8/1 I don\'t fancy sire Nyquist at the distance

8) Senor Buscador 10/1 Is in terrific form with double digit m/l = my key

Going to box Arabian Knight,Defunded, and Senor Buscado. Don’t think Stiletto Boy likes Del Mar, and Geaux Rocket Ride off that five point top has me wondering if he regresses a couple.

Slow Down Andy got back to his 3YO top in his 2nd start as a 4YO.

I love this sheet and he can absolutely move forward and take this at the current 7/1.

He\'s my key using with Stiletto Boy, Defunded, Senor Buscador, Piroli

Nice call, Jerry. You got the exacta.

ARABIAN KNIGHT had a nice Thoro-Graph pattern. Credit where credit is due.

Well, Roman I think you were correct about at least one thing, apparently Stilletto Boy doesn\'t like DMR.

The winner got a superior ride by jockey Prat and may get even better with maturity. But such a beautiful animal probably heading for the breeding shed rather than another year of racing?

Mike Smith turned in kind of a mediocre trip considering how well his mount finished and of course my choice (Senor Buscador) probably earns the best speed figure while getting nada.

Good early pace results in a Final time of 2:03+ seems dull.

Usually I am wrong all the time, so being somewhat correct, I will take it. Slow Down Andy was a horse I was afraid of before the race, he looked like a winner coming into the stretch.

Yep, P-Dub was probably standing on a table at least on his feet encouraging that one. But I think the Jockey left his race on the first turn antics.

Unfortunately Slow Down Andy ran to his name - thought the time was slow as well, but did not pay attention to times most of the day, so I do not know how the track was playing.
