First OTB opened today

OnThisDay in 1971, Off-Track Betting (OTB) began operations in New York, becoming the first legalized OTB operation in the U.S. Initially there were only two betting facilities available to take wagers - Grand Central Terminal & an OTB in Forest Hills, Queens

With all the middle age guys here, I’m sure some good nostalgia.
