2 Philly Numbers

What do you make of the Philly numbers earned by Ashado and Abbondanza?

They are both new tops by a large margin.

They both seem a little unrealistic to me?

Anyone have any comments on those two numbers?

Either you believe in the figs or not. Like yourself, I\'m also a bit skeptical, but...

How many folks thought Smarty Jones actually ran a \'0\' at Philly Park as a 2yo?

Looking at Ashado, she ran a brand new 3.5pt top. Big jump to fastest horse in the race. Pletcher, stock usually bounces off such efforts.

May they all come home safely!

TGJB will tell you all you need to know in two days or so. Also Bdsheets I had to remind you of the following post from when I debated this subject last spring with Chuckles the Clown.

May she come home safely one more time, and with her head in front.

I\'m not sure I agree that Pletcher\'s stock bounces...but I think fillies in general are more prone than colts to bounce off such an effort.  Thing is, can she bounce and win or hit the board?  HP

My only comments are:

Thunderello, Cajun Beat, and Volponi.

We\'ve put up the TG sheets for the two Pha races in question--The Cotillion and Gallant Bob Handicap. As you can see, the figures fit pretty tight.

Kingfisher,

I was thinking Thuderello in the Gallant Bob two years ago myself.
