The Arc @ Longchamp

Wrong week for this off topic, but has anyone attended the Arc race @ Longchamp the first Sunday in October?   Looking for guidance/suggestions, as I might end up in Paris that weekend.  Or is this a chaotic Pass?

Hello,
I have never been to the Arc, but I spent 3 days at the French Open when Nadal was king.  I cannot imagine the Arc is more chaotic than that.  We stayed at a Hilton that was a reasonable distance, but since it is only one day...I would stay anywhere you want and take a cab.  I would love to go to the Arc...someday.  I will be at Newmarket this summer

I’ve been to four Arcs and it is probably the best weekend of racing in the world. Yes, Paris can be chaotic but you can take the Metro to Port Maillot and hop on a bus to the track. I have not been to the new facility but they kept the paddock the same. Betting is a bit confusing so I would be prepared to bet on an app. The Racing Post has great coverage as well as Paris Turf which is in French. Manage your expectations and you will have a great time.

Dick makes an excellent point about it being a great \"Weekend\". If the hubbub of Arc Sunday sounds too daunting, go on Saturday. Not as good a card and no Arc, but way smaller crowds. But before you pass up the chance, ask yourself the question an old college pal (an expat who has been in Paris the last 45 years) asked me along the old Longchamp rail in September 1992 .... \"how many times you expect you\'ll be in Paris on the first Sunday in October, Bobby?\" So far it\'s been just the once.

Saw Arazi\'s last victory (the Prix Dollar). Subotica won the Arc (much to the chagrin of the all the Magic Night fans). In the Prix Opera, a 3-yo filly ran up the track, but would return the following year to win the Arc, before going on to become the greatest broodmare in the history of the turf. Urban Sea.
