Who was better, TG or Rags?
« on: May 06, 2002, 04:08:36 PM »
I did not purchase the Rags Derby analysis, so I have no idea who did a better job. Can somebody who purchased both give us a clue?
I had the numbers from both TG and Rags, and I think both did a pretty good job. I think both sheets did a fine job of leading us away from CH and HH, and both did a fine job of pointing us towards PD and WE. I think Rags had the SA Derby and Blue Grass rated a bit better than TG, I was not impressed at all with those races, and was a bit surprised that TG did\'t back up the horses more. I also think TG did a better job of rating the WE races, as well as the Spiral. I would have made some decent money if I hadn\'t made the bonehead move of only using Lucas in the third and forth spots.... but still, I think both sets of sheets led betters in the right direction this year. Anybody care to rate the two sets of analysis? I will buy both (if they have them) for the Preakness, and give my opinion. I just hope I can say I was correct after that race !!!!!

As far as I know Friedman\'s analysis is still posted on their site. I encourage everyone to read it.

As I suggested earlier, if you compare the Derby nos. for the last 2 races, you will see what I thought were very significant differences between TG & Rags, differences which are similar to what I saw at Kee & differences which would impact on how to dope the race. The 1st Sleeping With The Enemy Post contains the specifics & it\'s not something which is apparent in the different analyses.
