Red Dot & Blue Magic
« on: January 24, 2005, 12:17:42 AM »
Hi folks

I\'m a senior journalist from Christchurch, New Zealand with an interest in horse doping. Our industry here has been gripped by a scandal involving a substance known as Blue Magic, an active ingredient of which is propantheline bromide - a bronchial dilator.
I\'m trying to find out all I can about Blue Magic and/or propantheline and its use in other countries.
I\'m also particularly keen to hear from anyone who has experience or knowledge of a product known as Red Dot.
Any suggestions as to other US racing/veterinarian sites I might post this on would be a great help.

cheers

Matt C

Stan Bergstein wrote a column in DRF mentioning Blue Magic, but he might have just been talking about what happened in your country. Haven\'t seen any other references here. You might try getting hold of Scott Waterman at TOBA (Thoroughbred Owners And Breeders).
