WHITE MERCEDES wins three stakes... again!

At the Fairgrounds today, our ole buddy WHITE MERCEDES won three stakes! AGAIN!

- HIGH LIMIT won the Louisiana Derby for Frankel. VICARAGE was second for Pletcher,
making for an absolutely preposterous $150 exacta! If you didn\'t have this, you should
be ashamed of yourself. [Thanks to all the people who touted Ken McPeek\'s horse.]

- WARNING ZONE won the MKrantzMemorial Handicap. First-time Pletcher.
- BADGE OF SILVER won the NO Handicap for Frankel. LIMEHOUSE second for Todd.

As someone who is an allergy sufferer I frequently use Claritin. The time-release formula is outstanding and there is no reson to believe \"The White Mercedes\" hasn\'t figured out a way to implement a similar formula in his medications.

Badge of Silver appeared to have more gears today than either the 3 or 24 car have ever had. Once some of these horses get to Kentucky where there are NO ILLEGAL substances they will actually be RUNNING FASTER than both the 3 or 24 car have ever run.

Frankel call helps Badge of Silver win

NEW ORLEANS - An audible that trainer Bobby Frankel called in the paddock might have made the difference as Badge of Silver scored a front-running victory in the Grade 2, $500,000 New Orleans Handicap Saturday at Fair Grounds.
Before the race, Frankel gave jockey Jerry Bailey specific instructions.

\"I looked in the paper before the race and thought I would be laying second to Wanderin Boy,\" said Bailey, \"but in the paddock Bobby said \'Speed\'s holding on\' - so we decided to go with him.\"

Yesterday, wa an anomaly for FG track, usu this is a stone closer track and speed was holding up yesterday.  Too bad FG decided to soup up the track for it\'s big day.

8th-Odds on favorite wires in pedestrian early fractions. Small field bomb manages to just hold second.

11th-Bomb wires at 29-1

Ok, I\'ll acquiesce that the number of front end wins does seem disproportionate. However, most are favorites, but for the last which causes some reflection. I\'ll look at the track for inside carrying bias. A bias of that nature could be part of the results. BOS, Limehouse and Second of June all ran on the rail until the drive. When June shifted out is when his bid fizzled.

I Had the pic 4, (who didn\'t)but would have liked it better had Second of June won. With the trip he had and the pace in front of him, he looked like a potential winner at the top of the strectch only to see BOS run off. Perhaps there is something to the inside rail bias. SOJ didn\'t have an excuse off that trip on a typical fair surface. That Pic 4 was paying over $1K while BOS paid 158. Oh well another day at the track,and the games trainers play.
