Gonna be interesting. The final time was \"reasonable\". The 10 mark call pedestrian. Alex has a very nice turn of foot when hes right and he did it again at a distance you have to figure is pushing his limits. Alex was credible, the rest of them ran abysmally slow in my estimation, but miscalculating two turns at Belmont is easy to do. Still don\'t think it was up to the Ark or Preakness.

The good news:  Tossed Giacomo, Pinpoint and Southern Africa from the Trifecta on inadequate breeding.

Correct in the Head to Head matchup between the A.p. Indy Colts.

Correctly called Indy Storm over Pinpoint

The bad news: Nolan\'s Cat and his Easy Goer pedigree staring me in the face, but somehow going unnoticed and Reverberate bouncing or changing his style to take him out of the race.

reverberate looked terrible in the paddock and on the track, definately was not ready for the race.

 Posted that Nolans Cat 15-1 reeked of some strange money 2 hours before the race. Ya coulda been a contender.

Giacomo flipped pallet. A maiden finished 3rd. Alex should have won by as much as he did so I would think he bounced a little today, but looked great nonetheless. I thought the odds board was interesting in that I had suggested in an earlier thread that it might be worth a bet tossing AA, Giacomo and the 3rd choice and wheel the rest to win.

The dramatic win is a bit of an illusion based on the competition, nice horse.  I dont think he is as good as say point given.

Whatever number he gets, it\'s probably misleading. The entire field was collapsing between the mile and mile and a quarter point of the race and AA was just coasting behind them. He didn\'t even start running until the quarter pole and then he ran very fast and very well. IMO, this is one of instances where the competition was so horrible it actually prevented the superior horse from putting up his bet possible figure.

It didn\'t take a professional handicapper to notice he was racing against inferior competion in this race. A Nice $14G super could have been had \"if\" you would consider the maiden in the $. Thats how bad this feild was. Didn\'t here about Giacomo flipping his pallet but sounds to me like another typical excuse for poor performance.

Thank Goodness I sat this one out. Was in Europe for couple of weeks on businessand watched the replay on TIVO.
