thanks to dr. fager for the excellent references previous - we all fear for the time our favorite sport fails us...

on to the the SUBURBAN - my favorite horse in training, Funny Cide, gets a rider switch that I think means zilch - what has Jose done wrong? - but...forget the human element, it\'s put up or shut up for Jack & Co...and I predict a solid win.  Toss the slop - he never has liked it, and hope Barclay is in a surly manner on saturday (certain confidence look)...I admit it is mostly form a fan perspective, but even with the competition charted, he has a great chance to win, and win in aggressive manner...they run against everyone, stayed in the game (no alternative, obviously), and damn it - it\'s in NY!  The Piper Heidsieck is on me , Jack...Pletcher\'s stable will be watch hard by all of us on TG, and I am most interested in his entry.

I\'ve been taking some lumps on Funny Cide. Passed on the Suburban out of fear of both Offlee Wild and what Funny would do. Funny Cide gained lots of weight over the year break. Most was muscle but hes a bigger horse now and maybe hes not as efficient a mover, who knows. The other factor is Tagg isn\'t cheating. Funny wasn\'t gonna win that race no matter if they all ran clean though.

The good race was the Ohio Derby. I\'m pretty sure Palladio would have won that Queens Plate by a pole.

Maybe its time that Barclay Tagg take an interest in training FC; it seems to me like girlfriend/ assistant trainer/ exercise rider Robin Smullen has been calling most of the shots over the last year or so. Barclay doesn\'t like to be involved with FC because it entails media attention, which he seems to disdain.

They should enter FC in stakes races against NY bred slow rats where he could rebuild his confidence (or could end up running against Commentator,lol).

Since Barclay is not really interested in training FC, and Robin has shown she is not capable of training him, why not turn him over to Dutrow or Frankel?

yeah, personal fav...love the owners too...also had the Cardinals in 5 ....
