Who crushed the Woodford/ Derby Double?

.... $60 seems kind of short for a double combining a $9 winner (English Channel) (second fave) in a 10 horse field and a $14 winner (second fave) in a 20 horse field. Double price is less than the parlay, very surprising in a 10 horse/ 20 horse double sequence, no?

hey, in this derby everything was crushed, super came back small, pick4 was very small. pick 3 was a joke.

remember in the sequence all 3 favorites in the prior races got beat!

Every thing seemed to pay smaller than expected: I had the exacta in the 2nd race; Menasha the winner paid $38.80, My Unbridled paid $11.40 to place; the exacta came back only $209.80  I was expecting something about $300+.

It only paid 3.50 shrt of the parlay, but it only goes to show how overbet favorites are. Even if he was luke warm, to the masses he was the favorite and the most logical horse, therefore he was overbet. Just proves SNS was the wiseguy horse, he was the post time favorite, but I didn\'t hear one casual fan mention him. I did hear Barbaro from many, especially those down in Kentucky all week.

I think Derby Day brings out big money from casual bettors who go heavy on the exotics.  If you get a crazy horse, then you see big payoffs, otherwise you don\'t.

I thought the undercard looked chalky so I shied away from pick four\'s and pick three\'s on the derby.  Unfortunately, I did not bet a superfecta as it appeared to be the best bet of the day as long as you liked the 13 and the 2.
