This is some good trainer.
Has Carthage and Siren Lure.
Claimed one for35k,the other for 50k.Not only are they winning machines,they also win the big ones.
And hes\' #2 trainer in N. California.
OK,so the only theory an East Coast guy like me can come with is hes\' using undetectable \"mazel\".
John T.,is he a blip on your radar screen? Anyone out west want to nail this bum?
Rumor has it,he married one of Dutrows\' daughters(the ugly one),and the virus has found a home on the left coast!(I\'m joking)

Siren Lure actually looks like a shrewd claim that\'s been well spotted;
prior to July2 never had to run faster than a 2 for those stakes wins, never had big new top (2.25 was max); and followed the expected pattern of development for a Joyeux Danseur from 3 to 4, especially considering dirt to turf... which leads me to...

a question for TG;

The Sire Profile for Joyeux Danseur shows the following TGIs;

dirt...... 18.25
off....... 19.75
turf...... 15.00

overall... 14.25

???
what am I missing?

thanks

The overall TGI can be nonintuitive at times. Consider the following sire profile TGI example--tops shown--d for dirt, t for turf:

Horse 1 3d, 1t
Horse 2 6d, 3t
Horse 3 3d, --
Horse 4 12d,7t
Horse 5 --, 9t

The dirt TGI is 3+6+3+12=24/4=6
The turf TGI is 1+3+7+9=20/4=5
The overall TGI is 1+3+3+7+9=23/5=4.6= a TG 4-1/2

In this case only 4 horses show up in the dirt and turf TGI but the overall TGI uses all five since it takes the top figure regardless of surface.

Alan,
Can we conclude(loosely)that the overall # can be over looked?
It seems every horse I have a sheet for has the same skewer.

Alan
thanks, assumed the overall # was based on total starts

Rex, I\'m guessing the stat can be useful to breeders and owners and such
