Alan or Jerry,

Where do we stand on getting the file tonight? It\'s before midnight at this point, but the mouse is looking for cheese if you know what I mean.

of course I did.

It does not auto run.

Why don\'t you guys keep it simple for those less computer oriented.

i figured it out after 30 mins. I had to run each race by itself. Not intuitive.

Each year it seems to be in a different format/package.

Why not set it up in Flash, or Macromedia, or adobe, mpg.

Keep it simple. I am very computer literate, but many folks and your customers are not. I suggest you fix it for you\'re monetary benefit.

The Breeders\' Cup races are separated to keep things more manageable so people can review individual races without having to go through one very large presentation.

Unfortunately, the \'simple\' solutions have their own downside - mainly enormous files 20 to 50 times larger than the current package. That\'s just not practical.

We keep trying to find the happy medium.

This is in FLASH (aka Macromedia Flash) now owned by Adobe.  A generated MPG file for these races came to a little over 1GB.  To make that smaller, I\'d have to use a compression CODEC - like XVID - that many people might not have installed on their computer. As I wrote in another post, it\'s difficult to please everybody.

One reason we went with this format is that it\'s compatible on all computer platforms. Previously, we had to make different packages for Windows and Mac.

Well I figured it out.

For what it\'s worth It\'s not intuitive even with the directions given. perhaps if you provide explicit directions, and perhaps you will save yourself some grief.

Hey, if I can open it anybody should be able to.

Fascinating stuff, especially the disclosure as to whose decision it was to
run Super Frolic in the grassy spot. As the seminar unspools (if you watch/listen
in the order of the races), it becomes apparent what was behind the decision.

As to the audio production values, the seminar has a real NY edge to it, with
car horns and sirens all in chorus with the Devil.

Opinions,information, entertainment. I enjoyed it.
