As my friend Dave Johnson once said about jockeys, \"They don\'t wear size 6 hats for nothing\". Yeah, that insane move on the first turn cost Momentum the race. I got flashbacks to Alydar in the Belmont.

The simulcast book is available (hard copy only) at a lot of locations right now--we sell the live track as full sheets, and the SCB separately. Where are you?

I am closing down the biz for a month, I will be at both Saratoga and Del Mar. I assume I can find the sheets at the usual locations? Will you have a book that includes SAR/DMR/ARL?

I ask the question about Sar/Dmr/Arl because, based on what I have read on the board, more people will be at the tracks over the next six weeks without access to their computer and printer. Some kind of book with the three top tracks, with some kind of discount, would be helpful.

At Saratoga we will sell Saratoga as a full sheet set, and all the simulcasts in one book. At Arlington, we\'ll sell Arlington, and 2 different SCB (they take way more simulcasts). At DMR, one main track and 1 SCB.

At least it explains why JB was so keen to make excuses for Momentum. Whatever happened on the clubhouse turn Momentum looked a lock to beat Sky Jack at the furlong pole but failed to deliver. And that against the \'lone speed\' (but not fourth favourite) who had been forced three wide on that same clubhouse turn. I\'m with Friedman on this one. Whatever the scenario was for opposing Sky Jack - not certain to stay, needs to be lone speed, bounce candidate - the horse clearly hadn\'t read the script. Sometimes even the best can be beaten by one better. Rather than excuse the second (or blame its jockey) why not give credit where its due - to a horse (the real stars of the game after all) that did better than many an expert expected? Momentum ran good, Sky Jack ran better.

Not as measured by performance figures,which take ground loss into effect--Momentum was outside Sky Jack on both turns.
