Actually, I have purchased your products a few times, and frankly, I didn\'t see the value -- ESPECIALLY the Analysis product; the Wizard is far more consistent if all somebody wants are picks...and at 1/2 the price.

I\'m back in \"evaluation\" mode regarding TG\'s main product. I suppose I\'m a lost cause, but really, how many new customers do you intend to snag by showing off the supposed power of a $25 handicapping product on an uninteresting,  undersubscribed stakes race? Is that a legit business question, or am I just \"bitching\"?

Since you ducked my question -- which I thought was legit -- I\'ll ask it in another fashion: how many new customers did you get from offering the 5-horse Bed O\' Roses as the free ROTW?

Any sort of serious answer to the question -- instead of ducking the question again or another cheap shot about how much money I don\'t spend on your products -- and I\'m gone.

About 5-600 people view ROTW weekly. Over the last year we have averaged about 60 people opening accounts weekly, though many are coming through promotions we do with strategic partnerships where we offer free data to a group of bettors in order to introduce them to our data. We have found almost no correlation with new customers signing up for ROTW, except if we take out an ad promoting a specific ROTW. ROTW is intended as a way of explaining how to use our data while looking at a real race, in advance.

My response pointing out that you are an ingrate who bitches about something he is given for free, while not spending any money here, is a cheap shot? Don\'t think you will find many who agree with you.

i happen to agree i do buy the products, but i sense that they are purposely picking dead races, this has been going on all year, i also suspect that they are also picking these small fields because they are busy with their normal work.

What in the world would be the edge in picking \"dead\" races?

We didn\'t want to do a poly race because of the randomness (Alan was kicking himself afterwards). The Chicago races had 4 and 5 horse fields and nothing interesting about them. The rain in California threatened to wash races off (and did). At least in NY, we could take a position against a short priced favorite (I say that based on my conversation with Alan beforehand, don\'t know if that\'s the way he wrote it).

There is some truth to the idea that nobody here wants to write paragraphs for a 12 horse field. You have no idea how much doing those 110 BC paragraphs takes out of me.

Anyway, my turn in the barrel next week for the Derby/Oaks seminar. I\'m not going to give anything away, but I think this is a very straightforward betting Derby, with far fewer contenders than usual, sort of like 04 (SJ), but the prices should be better, because I\'m willing to take a position against a couple that will take money.

you guys have also said you pick races to educate the players, my own belief is that you should do a race thats with a large field THAT\'S competitive, LET\'S FACE IT IF I CAN SCORE ON A $80 HORSE I CAN BUY MORE THOROGRAPH, THAT ALONE PLUS THE BUZZ OF PICKING AN $80 HORSE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH PUBLICITY AND GOOD WILL FOR YOUR BUSINESS.

Briefly, if Alan wrote that race he would not have \"picked\" that horse. When he saw the price he bet him-- but the discussion would have listed him as one of many in a mess of a race.

The Tiznow was very well bred for a trip and had completely obscured recent form. He was a polytrack flyer. It was his day is all. The Powder was fair to front end horses today. But per usual Pletcher stuggled mightily upon it. Food for thought?

I am a relative newcomer to the game, only since the early 80\'s....I remember when simulcasting came to NJ and the only game in town was the Meadowlands, Garden State or Atantic City (the track not the casinos)....I looked forward to watching \"Post Time\" every week....my home base was Monmouth Park and purchased TG as often as I could when the bankroll would allow....now, being retired and relocated to Delaware I read the posts on TG every day and look forward to ROTW....the bankroll isn\'t as large anymore but I still manage a wager or two every day online even without TG info...Thanks for ROTW.
