Crist blogging at 2:00AM, Davidowitz blogging at 4:00AM. Who would have ever heard of such a thing. Two things we have learned is the Bars of Saratoga are now Wi-Fi equiped, and when Davidowitz did his clocking he must have gone:

Steve Davidowitz, a very smart guy, has retracted his earlier conclusions regarding the final time of the Whitney and come up with another one. This attached as a comment in the Steve Crist daily blog on DRF.com


Steve Davidowitz says:

I finally got a look at the race in real time from a friend\'s TIVO of the ABC broadcast. The clockings I got this time were: 1:46.71; 1:46.74; and 1:46.70. Would therefore seem that the clocking is correct and something relatively drastic was done to change the track.

A conversation between an attorney and his client. The client asks whether the
attorney will be requesting a jury trial, to which attorney replies: \"Why would
you want to put your fate in the hands of 12 people who weren\'t smart enough to
get out of jury duty?\"

The Lawyer was impressive yesterday no matter what his final time turns out to
be. If I am not mistaken, his owners are tied up in a court dispute which may
make it less likely that he will be purchased by the Dubai Brothers and/or put
on an early retirement track. Of the 10 horses he left in his wake Saturday, all
but Papa Chullo were graded stakes winners.

It remains to be seen whether he\'ll be able to hold this excellent form, but at least now there\'s a solid older horse for the 3YOs to take on later in the year.
