Street Sense was Spent
« on: August 27, 2007, 11:16:02 AM »
Anyone see Street Sense after the Travers? Man, he really put it all on the line. He looked like he had been through hell and back. I never saw a horse so completely spent after a race and still able to walk back to he barn. He\'s a great one in my book, just for the sake of how much he gave. It will be interesting to see how he bounces back after the race.

bravo, I thought he looked that way before the race, and he still did it.  Was  real worried when he was loading into the gate.  Has a lot of will, that horse but not sure if he is eventually going to bounce or not be able to do it against the faster horses.

Yes,SS certainly looked better his first start back.Ironically though he did
the same thing in the spring.Good race in Tampa and mediocre in the Blue Grass
while staying on the wrong lead down the lane.I was slightly curious when he
changed from his left lead to his right late in the Travers. He did show the \"Cream Always Rises To The Top\" when things are toughest.He\'s a super classy
athlete and I hope he comes back strong.
