wasn\'t a fan back in his day, but while living in Chitown I got to know the history quite well, saw him several years ago @ KHPark - was glad he was still getting around, but we all knew this day would come...no quite in this one.

the last hero of the pre-Breeder\'s Cup era.

(does Cigar qualify now as a great gelding?)
