Churchill Saturday
« on: November 11, 2007, 10:47:27 AM »
The RotW (Churchill version) was a relative bust, but I thought the figs held up very well on Saturday at Churchill. In race four, the first-time turf Howard horse was as fast as the even money favorite and certainly a great play at 5-to-1 in a field of six.

The key of the day though was race six. The figs led me to a personal best exacta of $218.40 (for a buck) with good money on the winner\'s nose.

I just started using the digs more seriously in early August and felt these two races really clicked for me.

The Churchill stakes races are skanks this Saturday.

It would be interesting to see TG take a shot at the Tapeta in the near future.

Golden Gate\'s 8th race Saturday is 9 furlong G3 with 10 scheduled to go, with Buzzards Bay and McCann\'s Mojave entered.

I\'m about to download the races now... my first run through the Form has me interested in a couple races, so I\'m anxious to see how the figs shake out.
