Sham Stakes - Race #7 - Santa Anita

Does Colonel John stamp himself a legit Derby Contender in today\'s Sham Stakes? Price won\'t be there today and he\'s probably going to run second to the rail horse but with a solid effort today he could be one to plunge on in the SA Derby next Month. Keeping an eye on this one. Gotta play him in the pick 3\'s and 4\'s today though

Buck I am with you on the Pick-Three play with Colonel John.

Tiznow on top with the Turkoman on the bottom means he can run all day.

Using the 1 and 6 here, singling War Monger and four deep in the Big Cap.

If alive by the Big Cap will have some leaverage.

5 colt field

top two were essentially both odds on

Colonel John looks like a decent horse, but how can anyone say with certainty on those surfaces.

jury is still out.

The Jury is out Chuck but Colonel John looks professional and runs professional. Final time was slow but I like him. He could be any kind on conventional dirt. I look at it this way - if indeed the poly isn\'t his preferred surface and he shows the kind of heart he did today, he could explode at Churchill.

Here\'s my $36 dime super for the big cap:
5, 10, 11
1,2,4,5,10,11
1,2,4,7,9,12
1,2,4,7,9,12
