ROTW-Blinkers On

Has always been a big GO angle with McPeek but usually when they have one in them.

Which this one does not.

Certainly fast enough last year to do some damage with any kind of development.

But is that tomorrow or in two weeks in the BG again on Poly after he has gotten the needed tightener?

My thoughts exactly. Probably in this due to the owner (Carrol).

I\'m willing to excuse poor performance over Keenland poly by MACHO AGAIN if odds are 10-1 or better. I don\'t agree at all with ROTW bounce prediction on this one.

Good Luck,

I think Chitoz sits the perfect trip.  Looks like he was short and rank after a small break.  Remove the blinkers, back to preffered surface, Pletcher/Douglas at a price.

If Racecar Rhapsody loses this one I\'ll eat the sheets....He looks tons the best...I don\'t think I\'ll get higher than 5/2, If I do The rubber band comes off..I really think this horse has a future.  Good connections also.  He is the only horse I have looked at this year that I felt had a chance at beating Pyro in the Derby..nuff said

Cannonball and Turf War look useable to me at anything over 6-1. Interesting that the Ramsey\'s and Ward book Solis on this one. Solis and Paddy Gallagher have been live all winter at long odds and I\'ve got a feeling about this one. If Cannonball drifts up...\"my rubber band comes off\" - that comment cracked me up:-)

Was surprised by the analysis comments on Turf War: \"...but it\'s tough to like him going back to Poly\".

I could see if Turf War was \"bad\" on Poly, but lesser TG numbers notwithstanding -- two wins and a 2nd in four lifetime starts on Poly demands some respect. Use him.

I\'m picking a NYB gelding facing open company for the first time - a horse that doesn\'t appear to care for pace company, and is stretching out over a more demanding surface. 30% to come last.

he is, however, a half to Balto Star, winner of this race in \'01, and a horse that went on to excel going long on turf. he\'s also coming off a few bunched up races - not a good category for Pletcher. comes in here on six weeks.

key the Duke at long odds from the 1 hole (12-1 ml).

I like DUKE OF DE BUGE, has the rail, those 2 numbers put him there already. Let\'s say he gets right back to the 4 top (why not, he has 6 weeks), with a rail trip (1w,1w), some of these are going to need to run a 1 or 2 to be there. The 2 should back up, the 3 and 4 ain\'t fast enough, yeah the turfy 5 can run the number on the turf, but will need at new top to beat the one. Racecar looks good, but his number power is a little off the one. I don\'t know, I see pltecher, I see 12-1, I see rail and speed. My key, Good luck

That\'s the last time I play polycrap.

I\'m too stubborn/old fashioned, etc. to play turf horses on anything other than turf. The surface is a joke and Keenland won\'t get a dime from me except on the weeds.

PS: Now the knuckleheads will start screaming Derby for ADRIANO...good luck with that!!

For what its worth, I\'m going to take a good look at the inside couple of paths (where RR was). It was clear the jocks were avoiding the rail all day, don\'t know yet if they were right.

And more amazingly, they have been doing it on the FG TURF. That\'s something I\'ve never seen before.

JB,

Don\'t know what the TG dead rail computer flag will show but every winner was off the inside.Even the front running winners never hit the fence, most staying in at least the 3 path.
