In yesterday\'s 2nd race at Bay Meadows (April 10, 2008), DRF handicapper Chuck Dybdal said this in his 2nd race analysis:
SEXY SOLDIER ran four ticks faster than BERJANDO two races after Berjando\'s victory on March 13 but still got a lower beyer. That\'s probably because her win came at a bottom-level 8,000 maiden claimer, while Berjando ran for a 20,000 claiming tag.
Does anyone know if Beyer takes into consideration the actual class of the race? Dybdal seems to think he does.
Berjando ran 111.1 and got a 73 and Sexy Soldier ran a 110.2 and got a 70. These races were the 3rd and 5th races on the Mar 13 card at BM. Unless Beyer made a mistake and Sexy Soldier should have had an 80 and not a 70?
