Tomorrow at CD Brass Hat, Who I have been chasing for a while, switches to a competent ground saving jock named Calvin Borel instead of a horror show, Wide trip loving jockey named Willie Martinez...I have not ordered the sheets yet but I remember only good numbers on this one from previous sheets if everything is good numbers wise, i\'m all in.

I was at Kee for his last and watched the Trakus numbers after the race. My jaw dropped when I saw how many feet he lost (I think 90+) to the winner of the race that saved ground.

I\'m so sick of watching moron jockeys give their horse (most usually the ones I bet on) a crack of the whip to send them 4-5 wide with the leaders in the 1st turn of a 1 1/16th race when they could very easily tuck in behind.

It\'s so repeatedly and blatant.  It must be done very often to \"throw races\" and hide form.

90% of the jockeys out there don\'t have a freaking clue about pace and ground loss.

Umm.. My vision isn\'t perfect but I am far from legally blind.

REPEATEDLY I see horses who spot the leaders 2 lengths in a route race and watch, with my own eyes, the jockey crack the whip a couple times and have the horse take off and make it 4 abreast around the turn.  Unless the horse is 5 points superior to everyone in the field, about 2% of the time does that horse end up winning the race.. About 85-90% of the time they miss the board completely.   Jockeys who tuck in behind these leaders and save ground have a FAR better chance of winning the race than the jockey who just spent his horse trying to make up lossed ground from the start.

Not all a conspiracy.. I\'m sure there\'s an occaisional shenanigan, but the vast majority of the time it\'s just that the jockeys are absolute complete morons.

Brass Hat fits - has a bunch of fast figures, and the nice \'2.25\' last. looking at race shapes, Borel should have no problem getting to the rail. traffic from behind in the big field the issue.

Lattice - 114 lbs. 1 hole. has the \'3.75\' top last year. caught behind slow pace last two (flew home at 39 mph last). Northern Dancer and Alluvial behind Rahy below - should get the distance.

Save Big Money - a series of fast figs, most around 1m though. has the \'3.5\' last. 113 lbs. might get the lead here in a race with little pace. don\'t necessarily like at the distance, but could have a valuable tactical edge.

Pickpocket - a rather isolated top of \'3.5\' last, but it was the first start for Mott outside of Fla. gets hot jock. 114 lbs.

Horses getting whipped around the FIRST TURN??  Next time you see this, let us know which race and we\'ll check it out.  I don\'t see many if any horses getting whipped around the first turn.
