That will be an interesting question to follow. Long ago I would have guessed that the addition of steroids would have created a trend towards being able to race more frequently (assuming steriods enable a quicker recovery).

quicker recovery = more races per year = more money earned.

The incentive is certainly there if steroids are doing what is claimed.

However, in recent decades the trend has been towards much greater spacing and fewer starts despite all the drugs and steriods. So you really have to wonder what\'s going to happen without them. Maybe in a few years we will be longing for the days when a championship campaign was 4-5 races because 2-3 races will become the norm. Either that or we will all be surprised.
