This race goes in three minutes and I have no idea who is going to win. This was always a key race to pay attention to for next years three year old prospects and Derby Hopefuls.

Doesn\'t seem that way anymore. Seems to be the series final for the Feb OBS in training sale.

The race just went.

Crib Note blew the turn, Munnings blew the break. Congrats to the winners see you in next years sprint series. No Derby winner or runners here.

I unloaded on this race and am currently walking around with an empty wallet.

Will someone look at the sheets and tell me why I should have included Vineyard Haven on my ticket.  

Please do not tell me Frankel or Garcia.  I did not need the sheets to tell me the jockey or trainer of the winner.  What I want to know is how I was supposed to extrapolate a top that I am estimating at a \"4\" from an 8-12?  Looks like a sprinter just blew away a field of potential routers.

I was all over Break Water Edison in this race, foolishly thinking that a 7-4 would finish ahead of an 8-12.

It\'s probably not on the TG\'s, nor anywhere else on paper. 2 year olds can go through intense bursts of physical development.

Maybe 2 year olds races are not the best kind of race on which to unload one\'s wallet.

I know they call it horse racing, but I think I spied a big fat grin on Frankels face all week. Didn\'t he have another real nice winner just the other day in the stake? Blew them away?

 Shouldn\'t even have to say it.

 He just bought this one privately from the breeder off one race. I\'m red boarding here , but jezzus , you really think a couple of numbers on a piece of paper trumps what Frankel can do in a few weeks with fresh meat?

 Games a lot tougher to crack than that.

Far more astonishing than the figs is that he wired horses with much more early speed and he was ONLY 9-1. Those owners do bet and Frankel said this horse lost a shoe in  his last race and missed training. He was talking this horse up during the week.

Horrible beat for Cribnote who kinda bolted and blew the turn trying to shy off the horses inside of him. This young horse was smashed into the rail in his first start and may have a head problem as a result, along with much talent.He will probably get the best fig and deserves it.

Nothing to do with the final order of finish but.....

1) Did anyone else notice that Cribnote has very funny action.  He doesn\'t move very smothly and sometimes this is the kind of horse that gets hurt unfortunately.  If that happens, it would be ashame as he seems very talented.  I hate to see Violette with horses like this because he just doesn\'t pay enough attention to the horses and if they are already hurt, they have no shot.  He\'s bad enough when they are sound as his lack of attentiveness usually gets them hurt before too long.  West Point pulled all of their horses from him earlier this year and then last week, Halsey Minor took Dream Rush away from him after Violette messed her up all year.  What a shame.

2) In terms of no Derby runners coming out of this race (which was suggested in another post), let\'s not forget that a Lemon Drop Kid is going to get better with age and distance and probably didn\'t want to be rushed off his feet going 7f like Break Water Edison was yesterday.  We may not have seen his best yet and he ran a 3 last out so the foundation is there for him to be part of the mix on the Derby trail next year.

I noticed the \'winging\' which is what it\'s sometimes called on Cribnote.  May be the reason he blew the turn.
