Beginner:
I appreciate the compliment, but I never considered the Clown an easy mark. He
got his shots in at me also. It was kind of like a Disraeli/Gladstone back and
forth, without the political/historical significance.
The Clown\'s comments (for those who miss them)are available on the Rag board.
His nom de course is \"Cube\". The erstwhile \"Classhandicapper\" may also be found
at that site, still rambling on about pace.
For those who travel not to the dark side but crave Derby Clownmentary, I will
on a one time only basis try to interpret current Cubist thinking on the Derby.
In his last post at Chez Rag, Cube laments that many of his potential 09 Derby
picks have fallen by the wayside, most recently the Porterized (my comment, not
Clown\'s) Old Fashioned. Clown/Cube still thinks Unbridled\'s Song will be a
factor in the outcome, but thinks an unseasoned Dunkirk is not yet ready to be
effective past 9 furlongs.
Clown implies that he expects chaos this year in the Derby. Clown intimates
that he had success wagering in this years Blue Grass. Could it be that
Clown/Cube has gone sentimental on us and is endorsing General Quarters, whose
dam is a daughter of Unbridled\'s Song?
While April 23 is way to early for Clown to make a firm Derby selection (in the
past some have accused him of past posting his Derby pick) my educated
interpretation is that the Clown/Cube will have at least a small investment on
gimmicks which include GQ in the top spot and Dunkirk underneath.
Interpreting the Cryptic Clown/Cube Derby Selection Code never an easy chore,
especially so far in advance of post time. I will now turn to easier tasks,
such as identifying the Unknown Soldier and determining the whereabouts of
Osama Bin Laden.
