Take a stand

Hardly ever post anything that is a question for learning.

One of the questions was to Jerry quite some time ago that was repeated this year about a 3 year old running a minus number before June.  The stats are staggering.  Maybe 3 ever have not x\'ed  yes 3 .  We have a horse even better a filly that has blown the minus number off the charts.  She will have 2 weeks rest to recover.  I believe in the numbers and not a dollar will be bet in the double,win, tri, super,p3,p4 on RA.  It will either be a very, very good day or one that defiesthe stats.

With you 1,000% - practically guarantees RA will trounce the field.  In addition to the points you make - pace, PP, everything that could affect her in a negative way is all in there now.

Then the questions are  how many ran?  what is the % of winners?  and how many won with 2 weeks off.  how many were fillies?

Seems to me we have the classic argument between the die hard sheets guys and the guys who use their eyes and horse sense to think they know a star when they see one. I would think Jess Jackson and his team know how sheets work and look at them - its not like the TG sheets are a big secret.

They don\'t seem to think Rachel is a bounce candidate. They made a bigger bet than anyone by plunking down 10 mill for her and another 100K to enter the fray in Baltimore.

It is my understanding the sheets are best used to spot vulnerable favorites. Do you feel deep down that Rachel is vulnerable off the Oaks exhibition? Do you think Borel would instantly dismiss a Derby winner if he thought she was vulnerable? IMO - you have to know how to pick your spots with sheets or any other method of handicapping. I don\'t feel the Preakness is that spot.

Of course if a thunderstorm opens up an hour before post - anything can happen
