Good contingent of Americans in the Million. Not sure about the form of the Euros without any PP\'s.

Bev D doesn\'t seem to have the usual pre-race buzz. Pure Clan won the paceless prep pretty easy and is listed at 3-1 in the ML. Lol.

I can\'t get past Pure Clan\'s nice looking sheet. Euro filly 1st lasix might be my other use.

In The Million, \'0\' types Gio Ponte and Einstein both look formidable with top jocks up. How about Stots at a price to hit the super?

And Barry has a nice looking colt in the 11th.

Haven\'t we seen this before where the 2nd level Euros just wipe the floor with the best US turfers.  Heck Einstien finished 5th in this race last year; against a weaker field, and might go off less than 4-1.

O\'Brien\'s Black Bear Island (L1) and the Aga Kan\'s horse Alnadana both look very tough.  I may single both of them and spread in the Million with the three Euros and Mr. Sidney.

Question for you turf experts.

I often check to see if a horse has run left-handed or not when they come from Europe. Anyone else think this matters?

Yes and when going a two turn Mile absolutely.

Einstein I am not sure was in his best form for last years running. Maybe not again this year who knows.

Gio Ponte has won 3 G Ones innarow from a mile to a mile and 3/8ths and done it in fast numbers. Doubt there are many Euros as quick and longwinded even with first juice.

Just as Well will give another consistent effort and Mr Sidney piling in at Double-Digit odds is enough to have me reaching for the gin bottle again......

Hey guys, fwiw, the weather is expected to be scorching- mid 90\'s on Saturday. Have had no rain for several weeks- some forecast today- but they keep that course well-watered. I agree that the Euros have dominated here at nice odds as the U.S bettors bias makes for nice overlays. Horses that have excelled on California Turf have been dismal underlays; the grass there is like a putting green vs. ARL where it\'s more like the first cut of rough at a major. Just a few angles to help you whittle away. I haven\'t looked at the races yet- but will be spying for Euro keys. The heat issue makes early choices dicey. Good luck all.

Isn\'t the hot weather usually bad for the euro shippers?  They don\'t look exceptionally strong either.

That is the conventional wisdom - but you know how that can work out. I know it\'s been mentioned often when Breeders\' Cup is run in warmer climates. Can\'t say as I\'ve tracked the actual results however.  Euros that haven\'t looked that strong over there have come into AP and dusted our best before at decent odds. Tough call Lost Cause but they\'re worth a close look in the paddock and post-parade.

Thanks Ill-bred- at 5-6/1 he\'d key some nice returns. I think we can count on Gio and Eienstein to prop up value on any Euro of choice.

TVG\'s on site reporters say it rained all day Friday, course now listed as
yielding.

Sun back out, possibly \"Good\" by post time for the 3 G1 Stakes.
